Church Occasions and Special Services: December 2021 / January 2022 --
We welcome you to the new web site for St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church in Annville, Pennsylvania. Below are our church announcements of interest and importance.
We welcome suggestions for change, addition, and general improvement of our web site. Please feel free to e-mail your comments and suggestions to our webmaster at email@example.com. We will seriously review and consider those constructive ideas that you choose to provide.

The Church Occasions and Special Services for St. Anthony's are now available for October through November 2021 including the Commemoration for St. Philopateer the schedule for the Kiahk Praises (7 and 4), the New Years Liturgy and celebration, the Nativity Feast, the Circumcision Feast, the Epiphany Feast, the Wedding of Cana of Galilee, and the Commemoration of the departure of St. Anthony.
The governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has ordered the lifting of Covid-19 capacity limits as of May 31, 2021. The mandate for wearing masks has also been lifted as of June 28, 2021. However, the Pennsylvania Department of Health advises individuals to follow CDC quidance in regard to wearing a mask. As a result:

- As of the liturgy of Sunday, July 11, 2021 there is no longer a requirement to register prior to attending liturgy or any other church services. Sunday school and other church services will also resume in-person.
- Individuals are asked to continue to self examine and to not attend church services if you are showing any Covid-19 symptoms, even if you are fully vaccinated.
- Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are advised to continue wearing masks while inside the church.
- In accordamce with current CDC guidance, individuals who are fully vaccinated are recommended to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of of substantial or high transmission (which currently includes all counties in Pennsylvania).
- Please continue to practice social distancing and hand hygiene as much as possible.
New Church Schedule for Bible Study and Vespers --
Please note that Bible Study will now be on Saturday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm followed by Vespers from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm and Midnight Praise (Tasbeha) from 7:00 pm to approximately 8:30 pm. You can also find this schedule listed on the Church homepage .
St. Anthony's Receives Friends of Old Annville 2019 Historic Building Award --
On November 9, 2019, as part of the Annual meeting of the Friends of Old Annville, St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church was awarded the 2019 Historic Building Award for a major restoration or rehabilitation of a historic building within the Annville Historic District. We thank the Friends of Old Annville and president Michael Schroeder (pictured here with John Borland, who accepted the award on behalf of St. Anthony's) for bestowing this gracious award on our humble church.

Diocese of Pennsylvania and its Affiliated Regions Issues Letter Concerning Attack on Church in Egypt --
HG Bishop Karas has issued a letter in regard to the December 29, 2017 terrorist attack on the St. Mina & Pope Kyrillos Church of the Helwan District in Cairo, Egypt.

We congratulate HG Bishop Karas regarding his appointment by HH Pope Tawadros II as bishop of the newly formed Coptic Orthodox diocese of Pennsylvania and it's Affiliated Regions (including Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia).
