Dearly Beloved --
Welcome to St.
Anthony Church web site. May the Lord
bless your life and reward all those who
worked for this site with the heavenly
rewards.
The
Church is the place of comfort and joy. How
lovely is your tabernacle, O Lord of
hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints
for the courts of the Lord. (Psalm 84:1-2).
It
is the place of meeting with God, where
His love embraces everyone. Even
the sparrow has found a home, and the
swallow a nest for herself, where
she may lay her young- even Your altars,
O Lord of hosts, my King my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in and your
house; they will still be praising You. (Psalm
84:3-4).
It
is the place where the Lord hears our
supplications and grants us forgiveness. And
may You hear the supplication of Your
servant and of Your people Israel when
they pray toward this place. Hear in
heaven Your dwelling place; and when You
hear, forgive.
(1 Kings 8:30).
No doubt the
secret behind the glory of the house of
God lies in the guidance of the Holy
Spirit as St.
Augustine said, The
Spirit of the Church Who overflows with
every gift upon her members. St. Iranaeus
said, Where
the Church is there is the Spirit of God
and where the Spirit of God is there
exists the Church and every grace.
The Church
is also the Body of Christ. And
He put all things under His feet , and
gave Him to be head over all things to
the church, which is His body, the
fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians
1:22-23).
It is the
assembly of Holy members that are one in
Christ. So we,
being many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members of one another. (Romans
12:5).
May our Lord
Jesus Christ keep the gates of the church
open to the faithful through the
intercessions of St. Mary, the prayers of
St. Anthony the Great and all the Saints.
